10 Delicious Detox Water Recipes To Clean Your Liver

For one to stay hydrated, the body requires that we maintain its fluid level at about 60%. While we can try and take sufficient amounts of water, we may get discouraged. Let’s face it; plain water is boring and taking it often is not something most of us look forward to. What then can we do to spice things up?

The liver is a very important organ in the body. It performs major metabolic processes and thus there is need to keep it clean and healthy. Detox Recipes

1.Watermelon Juice

Watermelon is excellent for the liver. Also, it helps in flushing out toxins in the body as it contains citrulline. Mint on the other hand will be used to enhance the taste of the juice. Combine 10 mint leaves with a half cup of cubed watermelon and filtered water. Allow the mixture to chill for about ten minutes then drink it. 2. Grape Water

Loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants, the grape fruit is an excellent liver cleanser. Simply slice one grape fruit (red) and place it in a jar. Add about 24 oz of water. Allow the mixture to freeze overnight or for at least thirty minutes. Enjoy the drink.

3. Apple Cinnamon Drink

Malic acid found in this drink is excellent in softening the liver and releasing stones. To make it, add slices of a Fuji apple and cinnamon in a jar. Cover them with ice then add water. 5. Cucumber mint drink

Cucumbers contain citrulline that removes ammonia from the liver and kidneys. Mint on the other hand improves digestion. You will need a medium sized cucumber sliced, 10 fresh mint leaves, a sliced lemon, ice and two liters. Combine all the ingredients together except ice and allow the mixture to cool for some time. Add some ice as you drink it.

6. Strawberry Drink

Straw berries are loaded with vitamin C which is important in removing fats from the liver. Simply combine strawberry slices with water. Cover the mixture and leave it in the fridge for about six hours. As you serve, add some ice cubes.

7. Ginger Cayenne lemon Drink

Ginger is one of the wonder spices we have in the world today. It helps in digestion and removing gas when bloated. In simmered water, add some grated ginger, lemon juice, cayenne pepper and allow the drink to simmer for fifteen minutes. Enjoy the delicious drink afterwards.

8. Honey lemon drink

A honey lemon drink in the morning will keep you digestive system clean for the day. It does so by removing the toxins that had built up during the night. Warm some water and add some lemon juice, squeezed from a fresh half lemon. To spice things up, add some honey to your taste.

9. Master Cleanser

This drink is made from organic maple syrup, lemon juice (two tablespoons each), pinch of cayenne pepper and a dash of sea salt. Combine all the ingredients and drink. This mixture has been used to heal stomach ulcers.

10. Berry Blast Drink

A combination of strawberries, rosemary salt, watermelon and water is exactly what you need to stay healthy. Muddle sliced strawberries, watermelon and rosemary salt in a pitcher. Add water and stir, leave the mixture for six hours then drink.
