Digestive disorders

Gastrointestinal disorders like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), celiac disease, ulcerative colitis, have symptoms like gas, bloating, distension and other symptoms. Some reports show that bloating is experienced, by 26 and 93 percent of people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), 50 percent with dyspepsia, and 56 percent with chronic constipation.

Fluid retention (also known as Edema or Ascites)

Sometimes bodily fluids can be stored, around the body, including around the abdomen or pelvis area, which can cause weight gain and excess bloating. This can be due to a liver disease in some cases or rarely even from cancer. Check for other signs of liver failure or hepatitis, including yellowing of the skin (jaundice), changes in the white color of your eyes or pain in the abdomen.

Liver disease
